HAMPSHIRE & SURREY FIBROMYALGIA AND ME/CFS SUPPORT GROUP NEWSLETTER
Welcome to our first newsletter!
At our last Support Group on Friday 15th July we were joined by two new ladies; Joan and Martha, a very warm welcome to our Group.
We discussed the Fibromyalgia Awareness Week, which is Monday 5th September to Sunday 11th September 2011. We are holding a Mini Fete with Table Top Sale as an awareness event on Sunday 4th September, at St. Peter’s School, Merrow. We have booked the hall from 12pm to 5pm and will be open to the public between 2pm and 4pm. It would be great if as many of us who are able to, book at table a.s.a.p., as we only have 30 tables. Tables are £5 to group members and £10 to businesses. So far we are also going to have a tombola stall, guess the number of sweets in the jar, guess the birthday of the bear, lucky dip, hook a fibro duck and others. As well as an awareness stand and table.
Please put Sunday 4th September in your diaries. If you do not wish to have a table yourself, please consider manning one of the other stalls.
Dr Jacob Teitelbaum Speaking In Bath
Dr Jacob Teitelbaum is visiting Bath on the 4th of August and has agreed to give a talk at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases. The event will begin at 2.30pm and Dr T's talk will be on fibromyalgia and his treatment programme. Dr Teitelbaum specialises in treating fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome at his clinic in Annapolis in the USA and is the author of the popular book ‘From Fatigued to Fantastic!’.
He suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome himself while at medical school and for over a decade now has dedicated himself to effectively treating and researching chronic fatigue and FM.
He has designed many of his own treatment remedies to incorporate the important vitamins, minerals, enzymes and hormones etc that people with FM can lack. He is certainly a popular speaker, invited to conferences worldwide and conveys his message with empathy and clarity.
Don't miss out on this great opportunity to hear and speak in the UK. Maximum of 4 tickets per person.
The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases has car parking for blue badged holders as well as on street parking with designated disabled parking bays.
